Go ahead and do it, everyone does. Once you’ve launched a ball into Lake Michigan, on purpose, turn your attention to the native bunker on the right side of the fairway as it is your aiming point on the tee shot. The key to success on this beautiful par 4 is to position your tee shot in the fairway, and favoring the right side is a smart play. Land your approach shot just short of the green, as it will carom forward onto the putting surface. The greenside bunkers on the left are best avoided, but if you find yourself in them play conservatively. This green slopes gently toward the lake so don’t let the first putt get away from you.
Caddy Tip: A tee shot played over the native hill and at the distant wall bunker on the right offers the best angle on the approach. The approach offers a bump & run opportunity.
